A year and a half ago I stumbled across Choose FI Episode 9 and was awakened to the possibility of leveraging responsible credit card habits into free travel. I took their free course and went down the rabbit hole which led to 10xtravel.com and their free course. I obsessively listened to the Takeoff Podcast and joined the facebook groups and emersed myself into all things points and miles related. Following all the lessons I’d learned, we proceeded to open credit cards strategically and to earn over 1 million points/miles. In October 2024 we redeemed 800K of those points to travel to Japan. It really worked! We flew business class and stayed in some of the fanciest hotels I’d ever stepped foot in. What a different way to travel!
